Penny Hume is the Executive-Director of Youth Central, a charitable non-profit that provides opportunities for young people to become involved in their community.
Penny has been involved in many boards and committees, including the Calgary Chamber of Voluntary Organizations, Shaw Millennium Park Citizens’ Advisory Committee, Western Canada High School Council, Prince’s Island Park Management Advisory Committee and the Calgary International Children’s Festival.
With a degree in education, combined with over 25 years of experience in the non-profit community, Penny understands the needs and responsibilities of the non-profit sector. Penny believes that Calgary is a vibrant and welcoming community due in large part to volunteers and the organizations they support.
