Board Member

John spent his formative years in Calgary near Centre Street bridge and West Hillhurst.  After marriage he moved several times with employment, Edmonton, Grande Prairie, North Battleford and Red Deer before returning to Calgary in 1997.  Bicycling has always been a large part of John’s life, including a close encounter with a vehicle door on the 19th Street hill during junior high school.  John enjoys travel and has had several European vacations which included some wine experiences.  Education included time spent at Mount Royal College with transfer to Weber State University and a Business Administration degree.  John’s work experience includes financial institutions and twenty five plus years with the Province of Alberta in management of Consumer Affairs and Public and Senior Housing.  John enjoys his time volunteering with Two Wheel View and the Kerby Centre. John is married 50+ years with one son and daughter in law.
